Coated white board belongs to the category of packaging board. It is a kind of processing board made by finishing after coating white paint on the base board. Its quantity is generally more than 200 g/m2 and its thickness is more than 0.1 mm. It is mainly used for making packaging boxes after single-sided color printing. Common coated white board can be divided into five grades: A, B, C, E and F according to the quality level. There are three levels of AB C in common use (AB and BC in some areas, especially in Fuyang, Zhejiang). When choosing, the product type, specification and quality grade should be taken into account.
Type A white board paper: Bleached chemical wood pulp is used on the surface, Kraft wood pulp, mechanical wood pulp and high-grade waste paper are used on the core and bottom. Its folding resistance is good and it is used to produce cartons.
Type B white board paper: The surface uses bleached chemical wood pulp or superior white waste paper, and the core and bottom uses waste paper pulp.
C-type white board: Use lower grade raw materials than B-type white board.

The coated white board paper consists of secondary coating layer, surface layer, core layer, bottom layer, primary or secondary coating layer. As shown in Figure 1, one layer and five layers are coated layer, which can improve the whiteness and printing effect of coated white board paper; two and four layers are kraft pulp, mechanical pulp and deinked waste newsprint pulp, whose function is to maintain the strength and whiteness of white board paper; three layers are mixed wastes. Newsprint pulp, waste magazine, waste corrugated board pulp, its role is to increase the thickness of white board, reduce the cost of white board, improve the ink absorption of white board.

The classification of coated white cardboard varies from country to country. At present, there are mainly two kinds of coated white cardboard, one-sided coated white cardboard and two-sided coated white cardboard. The quantities of single-sided coated white board were 200 g/m2, 220 g/m2, 230g/m2, 250g/m2, 270g/m2, 300 g/m2, 350 g/m2, 400 g/m2 and 450g/m2, while those of double-sided coated white board were 200 g/m2, 220 g/m2, 230g/m2, 250g/m2, 270g/m2, 300 g/m2, 350 g/m2 and 400 g/m2.
Coated white cardboard is mainly made of flat paper, with the sizes of 787 mm * 1092 mm, 880 mm * 1230 mm, and also rolled white cardboard. The technical specifications of single-side coated gray-scale white cardboard can refer to QB1011-91 standard, and double-side coated white cardboard can refer to ZBY32024-90 standard.
