It is a cot used in paper making. A long net paper machine usually has seventy or eighty rubber rolls in size. According to the structure, it can be divided into smooth roll (flat roll, no pattern on the surface), grooved roll (groove on the surface of coating layer), threaded roll (groove on the surface of coating layer), vacuum roll, movable arc roll (hollow bending roll) and medium-high roll. It can be used in different parts of paper machine to squeeze water, press and calender. In general, SR (such as PU) is used to produce.
It is used for a large thick-walled rubber roller in various parts of paper machine. According to different functions, it can be divided into squeezing cots and various accessory cots driven by squeezing cots. Pressing cots should be able to withstand high pressure, and play the role of driving other auxiliary cots, with high hardness requirements, in the Shaw 85 ~95. When pulp is pressed by two rolls, the pressure exerted by the upper roll (cast iron roll core, brass or hard rubber wrapped) causes water to be extruded, while the lower roll (i.e. squeezing rubber roll) plays a supporting role. Some auxiliary cots driven by press cots include chest rollers (the first roller on paper machine, supporting copper mesh), case rollers (also known as dehydration rollers, supporting copper mesh), scraper rollers, brush rollers, etc. The adhesive layer should have good elasticity, compression resistance, flexibility resistance and thermal conductivity. The maximum tolerance of hardness should be within the allowable range. Otherwise, the degree of pulp drying will be uneven and the quality of paper will be affected. Generally, the Shore hardness ranges from 40 ~100, and the tolerance is +2 +4.

Rubber mixing
Mixing with mixer or internal mixer - general purpose in rubber industry, no more details. The functional layer compound with high requirement on the surface of roll body should be filtered after mixing to remove the large particles and some impurity particles which were not dispersed during mixing.
Roll shell treatment
Sandblasting is used to remove oil and impurities on the surface of the roll shell, and to increase the specific surface area of the roll shell, so as to increase the contact strength between the roll shell and the base rubber. Traditionally, some small grooves are made on the surface of the roll shell to increase the bonding strength between the roll shell and the base compound, which is no longer used at present. For the casting roll body, because of the poor compactness of the roll body, there will be oil contamination in the casting process inside the roll body. Before sandblasting, the roll shell should be baked in the vulcanization tank (such as 120 degrees for 12 hours). After sandblasting, the surface of clean roll shell is treated with brush adhesive - self-made or purchased, which can be coated after the solvent of the adhesive is completely volatilized.
Encapsulation
The more advanced way of encapsulation is automatic extrusion encapsulation. The roll shell is clamped on a rotating device (such as a lathe), and the extruder extrudes a certain thickness and width of the strip, which is wound on the roll shell at a certain angle or overlap ratio. According to the usage environment and function of cots, one-layer structure, two-layer structure or three-layer structure can be adopted (different levels of rubber have different properties). For multi-layer structure paper cots, the hardness of the rubber gradually softens from inside to outside. In Europe, there is a special coating structure, the hardness of the inner layer is softer than that of the outer layer - for this special structure of rubber rollers, in cold environment, it is easy to crack when impacted. Generally speaking, extrusion-wrapping process can be used for rubber compound, but for some special rubber or rubber with special soft hardness which is not suitable for extrusion, manual wrapping process is needed, that is, to press a certain thickness and width film on the calender, and then wrap the film layer by layer on the roll shell until the required thickness is reached. After wrapping, wrap a layer of soft paper on the surface of the compound, and then wrap two or more layers of nylon water cloth.
vulcanization
The vulcanization of rubber rollers is usually carried out in the vulcanization tank, and the vulcanization is carried out by means of sectional heating and low temperature for a long time. According to the size of rubber rollers and the characteristics of rubber, the curing time varies from more than ten hours to sixty or seventy hours.
